Display in PO table

After you create a purchase order custom field, you can use it on the Purchase Orders page. Custom fields can be shown as table columns and used as filters.

Show a custom field as a table column

  1. From your app, go to Purchase Orders.
  1. Click Edit columns.
  1. Turn on the custom field column you want to display.

Custom field columns use the custom field definition name. For example, if your field is named Approval status, the column is also named Approval status.

Multi-line text custom fields are not available as purchase order table columns.

  1. Optional: Drag the column to change its position.
  1. Save the view.

The custom field value now appears in the purchase orders table. If a PO does not have a value for that field, the table shows a dash.

Filter purchase orders by a custom field

  1. From the Purchase Orders page, click the search and filter control.
  1. Select the custom field filter.

Custom field filters use the same names as your custom field definitions.

  1. Enter or select the value you want to filter by.

The table updates to show purchase orders that match the custom field value.

Save a filtered view

If you use the same custom field filter often, save it as a view.

  1. Apply the custom field filter.
  2. Optional: Add the custom field as a table column.
  3. Click Save as or Save.

The saved view keeps the filter and selected columns together.
